This vibrant new work celebrates the Jewish festival of Hanukkah by telling the miraculous story of the Maccabees’ return to Jerusalem. An original setting of the traditional Ma’oz Tzur text brings the Festival of Lights to life through a swirling flourish of tambourine, chorus and orchestra.
