UNDER MOUNTAINS OF OCEAN

On Saturday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m., the orchestra’s “Under Mountains of Ocean” performance features youth concert concerto competition winner Evan Zegiel performing Nelson T. Gast’s Under Mountains of Ocean. It’s a world premiere tuba concerto.
The orchestra will also perform Howard Hanson’s “Romantic” Symphony No. 2 and a special folk music collaboration with Marquette’s first Winter Roots Festival. The festival is a joint-effort with the Hiawatha Music Co-op, the MSO, Peter White Public Library, the City of Marquette Arts and Culture Centerand the Beaumont Heritage Center.
